This Koala Bear with Ice Cream illustration is one of my most recent works I've done in Adobe Illustrator CS3 program. The slogan I came up with this illustration "ICE CREAM IS VEGETABLE" is perfect for someone like me who loves ice cream and wants to find the excuse to eat it whenever possible. If ice cream is considered as vegetable there will be lot more happy people around for sure. :)

Beagle Puppy

My mother-in-law loves beagle puppies. I wanted to come up with a special gift for her so I gave her an apron with this beagle graphic on. Even though my mother-in-law is not into cooking so much, she really liked my gift and started wearing the apron a lot even when she is not cooking!
Happy Chef

Cooking is one of my favorite habbies. I even thought about becoming a professional chef one day. This was years ago by the way... I've done some research about culinary programs in California and have found out that it would've cost me around $20,000 or more to complete a culinary program. That was more than I wanted to spend for my habby/possible future career. That's when I realized I would rather be spending my money on something else that I was already good at such as art and design. I am glad I changed my mind and became a designer instead.
Sweet Little Princess

This illustration was designed about two years ago when my favorite niece "Miki" was about 4 years old. Miki's personality and character was my inspiration for this illustration.
CHIMONKI Character

In case you forgot I mentioned before, I am a "Monkiholic". I came up with the name "CHIMONKI" by combining my first name "Chiaki" with the word "Monkey". Cute huh?
Elephant Illustration

Back in the old days, when I first started learning Adobe Ilustrator in college ( Adobe Illustrator 5.0 or 6.0), Adobe Illustrator program didn't have a lot of great features like "Mesh Tool". Mesh tool is great when you want to add a 3D quality to a simple illustration. It can easily add valume to a flat boring illustration. This elephant illustration was the result of my mesh tool experiment about a year ago.
FLOWER PATTERN

Star Wok Logo

There is this little Chinese eatery called "Star Wok" by where I live. The food is very affordable and delicious! The only problem I have with this restaurant is their generic looking logo. This logo that you see here is designed by me and not their logo just in case if you are wondering. Since they don't seem to have a problem attracting customers, I say leave them alone for now until they finally realize it's time to update their look. Some day I want to convince them to change their logo to my version. ;)
Fish

I got this effect by applying a bunch of different Photoshop filters to a photograph my husband has taken for me back in 2005 at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach.
AGED LOOK

I played around with Photoshop transparency layers and different filters to get this "Aged" look.
